A Director IT - Technology Exploitation position is available at a growing energy manufacturing and logistics company with high-performing Midstream, Chemicals, Refining, and Marketing and Specialties businesses.
RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW
Be a change agent in driving change through process improvements and introduction of new technological offerings
Investigate, track and communicate industry trends, best practices and competitive service offerings to identify opportunities for growth, innovation and competitive advantage
Partner across IT to define business requirements and lead the evaluation and development of new service offerings through new process development and technology evaluation
Scan the horizon for emerging technologies and translates them into opportunities for our company
Engage in managing key strategic technology partners like SAP, Microsoft, Apple and Google
Participate in the long range planning for IT Portfolio with an eye for investments in technologies or processes
Develop strategy and investment schedule for emerging technologies
Understand existing technical portfolio and offer counsel on best/industry practice
Participate in the IT Solution design / review of projects
Responsible for engaging and managing relationships with external R&D Engineering groups
REQUIREMENTS OVERVIEW
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related Information Technology field

years of direct experience across several services areas in IT
10
years of experience in the Oil and Gas (Transportation, Commercial, Marketing & Refining) or in other manufacturing and logistics business segments (Retail, Manufacturing, Financials or Logistics)
Strong working knowledge with key technology providers like SAP, Microsoft, Apple and Google
Working knowledge and/or exposure to Enterprise Architecture
Experience in emerging technologies like Mobility, Big Data, Internet of Things and CloudEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
