Job Summary : Position is responsible for applying the principles of Accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports for the Health Corporation. This job will involve preparing journal entries, reconciling bank statements and various balance sheet accounts. Assist in month end close process and working with auditors. It is a very fast paced environment, with a very short monthly closing deadline.
Education : B.S. in Accounting
Licensure/Certification : CPA (working toward CPA)
Experience/Knowledge : Experience in consolidations, monthly closing of financials and working with for profit entities. Knowledge of Lawson and Cerner preferred.
Skills : 10 Key, Windows and Microsoft Office Products

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
