The DON will be:
Accountable for the overall supervision of nursing services in an Assisted Living Center.
Directly responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing care needed for and provided to the residents.
Analyzing nursing services to improve quality of resident care and to obtain maximum utilization of staff skills.
Defining the duties of nursing service consistent with good administrative technique in assuring the accomplishment of departmental goals and objectives.
Working under the administrative direction of the Assisted Living Administrator exercising independent judgment and decision making.
Responsibilities:
?Under the direction of the Administrator: Assures compliance with all applicable local, state, federal and accrediting body rules, regulations and standards.
?Assumes twenty-four hour responsibility/accountability for nursing services.
?Assures quality resident care. Assures residents of a comfortable, clean, orderly, and safe environment.
?Regularly evaluates the nursing care provided on a 24-hour basis and institutes changes as indicated.
?Interviews, recommends hiring, supervises, and evaluates all nursing staff.
?Coordinates all departmental orientations and continuing education/in-services for staff.
?Regularly participates in Resident Care plan reviews for Assisted Living and maintains open communication with all team members to facilitate continuity of care.
?Practices proper technique for nursing, leadership, and supervisory skills.
?Complies with all safety rules and regulations. Follows proper safety procedure and utilizes proper protective equipment at all times.
?Oversees medication administration and staff adherence to applicable protocols. Assures provision of appropriate medications, treatments, and nursing services according to care plans and physician instructions.
?Allow for the provision of clinical experience for students in varied disciplines from local schools of nursing.
?Consults with residents and families regarding the residents health needs; facilitates medical referrals as needed or indicated.
?Develops and administers the operating budget for the Assisted Living Department and is accountable for actual expenditures in comparison to the budget.
?Directs and assists nursing personnel in providing nursing care.
?Reviews medication, treatments, doctor order sheets and residents' charts at the end of each month.
?Follows up/investigates medication errors and/or incident reports and proceeds with appropriate plan of action.
?Is aware of and oversees emergency calls on resident medical problems in AL and Independent Living (as needed). Performs duties of other nursing personnel where and when required.
?Assists with the review and updating of nursing policies and procedures to assure quality care and fulfillment of the State of Oklahoma Licensure requirements.
?Oversees and revises monthly staff scheduling and assignments.
?Pulls discontinued drugs to be destroyed with Pharmacist at time of Pharmacy review. Reviews all recommendations and discuss with appropriate staff.
?Assess independent residents for proper level of care upon administrative request.
?Establishes effective communication and positive relationships interdepartmentally.
?Promotes collaboration among nursing staff and other UV staff to optimize communication and problem solving. Interacts and communicates with fellow leadership staff in a way that promotes a harmonious and cooperative working environment.
?Participates as a proactive member of the CQIC committee.
?Represents a proper and professional manner by demonstrating and promoting compliance with the Our Home Customer Service Standards.
?Performs other necessary duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
?Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
?Current and valid State of Oklahoma nursing license.
Experience:
?Minimum of 3-5 years nursing experience in a Long Term Care facility.
?Prefer 2-3 years supervisory experience.

?Demonstrates a customer first approach to problem solving.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
